Gentlemen,
I used MakoRabco on my recent Self-Storage expansion and can recommend them without reservation.
They were among many building suppliers that I had prepare quotations for my expansion and from the very beginning they demonstrated a commitment to this project. Even when it was not obvious that it would advance, they kept engaged.
I worked with Angie Guerin and Robert Lesko on this work and they conducted themselves with professionalism and integrity. Angie followed through on all of the various design changes prior to the project’s award. Her imagination bringing solutions to obstacles early-on helped assure that the project was not only awarded to Mako, but had a successful layout and design was confidence inspiring. She assisted me with the various challenges that the entitlements process presents as well as suggesting possible financing options.
After contract negotiation and award, I worked closely with Robert Lesko. He was a gentleman and professional throughout the entire project. His communication and follow through was flawless. When issues cropped up (which they always do on construction projects) he was creative with solutions and understood the time sensitive nature of quickly resolving the problems. Mako’s erection crew was thorough and efficient. They worked safely and communicated clearly while working with other subcontractors on site in a very cooperative way. The schedule was updated regularly and the team worked together to bring this project in on time.
As an Owner/General Contractor, I have worked with other suppliers on previous projects and this experience with MakoRabco and their team was refreshing. Follow up on issues and questions that typically arise during these types of construction was unnecessary. They did everything that they committed to on or before the committed date and if there were delays or additional problems preventing this from happening, they communicated this information back BEFORE the committed to date.
This project was completed on schedule, under budget and opened on time, even though we had several delays and issues that could have derailed the opening date throughout the project.
I would recommend Mako as a supplier and vendor for this type of work and will use them on future projects as they arise.
